Summer 2026 – The Garden – Okada Manila – Creative Layout

Part of my “How to fight art block? Don’t overthink it, just keep creating.” series.
Recently, I worked on another set of twin layouts I’ve been wanting to try.
For weeks, I had a specific outfit in mind and a location I wanted to visit and everything finally came together during ToyCon Summer Prelude 2026 at Okada Manila.
The event itself was great (and yes, we managed to do a bit of shopping but that’s a story for another time).
Between the OOTD, the event, and all the walking, this layout had already been forming in my head. Honestly, it felt like having too many tabs open in my brain
More than anything, I just wanted to capture the feeling of summer. It’s hot, especially here in the Philippines but it’s also the season when some flowers choose to bloom.
I guess I want to be like that too, something that can bloom in any season, even when it feels impossible.
For this piece, I leaned into a mix of minimalist Japanese aesthetics, Uniqlo-inspired fashion, and a touch of Vogue-style layout.
