It’s a very early Sunday morning, and I can’t sleep again.
In just four months, 2025 will come to an end. Funny enough, I recently stumbled upon one of those Chinese New Year feng shui forecasts from last January. At the time, it felt like generic fortune-telling, but looking back, it did say something about career transitions. And here I am—living it out in ways I never imagined.
December 2024, I couldn’t have predicted any of this. I even joked that maybe I went “all out” for our company Christmas party because deep down it was going to be my last one. (Spoiler: it actually was.)
But none of this was planned. By June and July, so many events happened outside of my control, and it felt like an avalanche. For the first six months, I was too busy to even teach, but by July, I finally held two sessions, followed by another one in August. And honestly, those sessions became an anchor for me—a reminder of why I love sharing and teaching in the first place.
August is always a reflective month for me—it’s my birthday month. But this August was different. It marked the end of my nine-year journey with my previous company.
Leaving gave me space (and let’s be honest, a big push) to pause and reflect. I asked myself: What do I really want to carry forward? And the answer kept circling back to the same thing: storytelling.
That reflection also nudged me toward something I had long put off trying—Adobe Podcast.
I had heard about it before, thanks to Sir Rollan and Jean, but never gave it a shot until this August.
And when I finally tried it? I was pleasantly surprised.
It wasn’t intimidating at all—it was simple, natural, and it fit seamlessly into my creative flow.
Here’s how I’ve been using it in my storytelling process:
For me, Adobe Podcast isn’t a replacement. It’s a bridge. It makes the whole storytelling process smoother, faster, and more fun.
But here’s the real story: teaching in this season of change has given me more than I expected.
During my Storytelling Through Voice with Adobe Podcast session last August 30, something clicked again. Teaching reminded me why I do this—it’s not just about tech or tools, but about connecting with people and sparking something new in them.
When I looked back at the feedback, I felt both humbled and energized.
One attendee shared:
“The most valuable part for me is to continue the passion you have, to trust more and leave your comfort zone, regardless of the struggles you will be facing. I am grateful for this webinar since I’m planning to shift my career as a teacher.”
Another wrote:
“I struggle a lot with all these new technology and software that Adobe Podcast is such a game changer for me. Its interface is simpler with straight-to-the-point function.”
Reading these, I realized that teaching is not just about transferring skills—it’s about transferring courage.
This past month hasn’t just been about workshops. It’s been about transition, reflection, and rediscovering what matters to me.
Seeing over 500 views, 169 people joining live, and more than 214 hours of watch time on the session was encouraging—but the real reward is knowing that someone walked away inspired to try, to create, to step out of their comfort zone.
At the end of the day, storytelling is about connection. What begins as a late-night recording can grow into something meaningful when shared. Tools like Adobe Podcast help, but it’s the people, the community, and the courage behind the stories that truly matter.
This is only the beginning of my journey, and I’m grateful I get to share it with you.
If you tuned in or are curious about my sessions, feel free to reach out. Let’s keep the conversation—and the storytelling—going.
